Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver. This disease can occur in three different forms A, B, and C, and hepatitis B and C typically do not present with symptoms when infection first occurs. A virus, bacteria, or parasites cause this disease. Liver damage from excessive alcohol consumption or overdosing on certain medications can also lead to hepatitis. This disease can be acute or chronic.
