Renal Osteodystrophy is a chronic kidney disease caused by a bone mineralization deficiency. This disease occurs when electrolyte and endocrine disruptions and kidney disease affect the minerals in bone. Renal osteodystrophy typically occurs in conjunction with hyperparathyroidism, which is caused by decreased excretion of phosphate in a damaged kidney.
