Sjogren’s syndrome is an autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in glands in the body. This disease can occur in different forms, and attack different glands. This disease affects mostly women, and its cause is unknown though it is believed to be a genetic, or inherited, disorder. There is no cure for Sjogren’s syndrome but it is possible to treat the symptoms.
